Join us for Mocktails with Ms. Nikkie
- This event is open to the public and any ages are welcome.
- Enjoy non-alcoholic “mocktails” with our School Leader, Nikkie Handy, to discuss “unplugged” parenting.
- As busy parents we often times find ourselves taking shortcuts to ensure the day-to-day needs of the family get done. We offer the tablet or our phone to soothe a cranky toddler so we can make it through the grocery store checkout line without interruption or plunk a 5 year old down in front of Netflix so we can get dinner on the table before bedtime hits. These are temporary fixes and may be doing more damage than we realize. Let’s discuss strategies to manage parenting without the screen time and see how we can support one another’s growth as parents.
